Current Position
Full Stack Developer at NBCUniversal
Born in London, UK I've spent most of my life abroad. As a result of my
parents, both of whom where born and raised in Latin America, I've
been privileged to experience a multi-ethnic upbringing. Growing up
in Uganda, Mozambique, and Colombia among other places has granted
me a unique perspective in both my social and professional lives.
From my original aspirations of serving the US Dept of State
(working as an intern on issues concerning disarmament and child soldiers),
I became a cultural instructor for Japanese companies in Tokyo, where I also
became interested in programming.
After deciding to switch careers, I attended a coding bootcamp in the city,
spent some time as a teaching assistant, and finally was hired by NBCU
as a full stack developer. I have worked extensively with technologies such as
React/Redux, GraphQL/Apollo, Node/Express, Mongo/Mongoose, Ruby/RoR, and more.
